The company “Petrochem Tunisia” was created in 1990 as an international trading company under the name “ATC” with a capital of 300000 D.T.

The company realised a significant expansion between 1990 and 1998 and expanded its activities by acquiring a major plant specialized in the grinding, packing, treatment and activation of Bentonite, Baryt, Calcium Carbonate, Nutplug called “Metallurgical of Tunisia at Menzel Chaker Sfax Tunisia on a land of 4 ha and covered area of ​​5000 m².

After this development The company modified its name and logo and became PETROCHEM TUNISIA.

In 2010, the company Petrochem created a transport subsidiary “STTV” to provide transportation logistics and loading of its products on vessels in association with a big cement group “SOTACIB” subsidiary of the Spanish holding “Cemento Mollins”.

STTV, located on a 5000 m² plant at industrial zone neighbors to the port and bought 25 trucks (aluminum tanks, skips and trays) and operates a 4000 ton port silo for the export of bulk cement.

To consolidate all its activities, Petrochem has acquired from the government ( Agence Foncière Industrielle) another big land in the same industrial zone of Gabès bordering the port of Gabès and created an industrial subsidiary for grinding and packing all drilling products and bought very high quality European equipment to produce conform products approved by the American Standard “API / OCMA” as well as the relocation of the Metallurgical unit from Sfax to Gabes.
